Hydro Ottawa Training Centre
Our team was retained to provide full interior design services to fit-up their new team training centre on Bank St. This project took part in 2 phases – this being Phase 1 – Floor 1. In this phase, we designed training room space for smaller and larger groups with partitions that allowed for more privacy between classes and workers and visitors in the building. The colour scheme was selected to be bright and vibrant to keep the attendees focused and engaged. We also created collaborative and individual workspaces using ABW standards and installed a kitchenette and seating to provide a comfortable and functional break-space.
A multitude of ABW and ergonomic furnishings and work stations were incorporated to provide a healthy and diverse working dynamic and several options and areas for group and/or individual work.
With limited space we had to create a room that could open up to allow for 50 people but still be effectively utilized when larger training groups were not in session. This was accomplished by adding movable partitions between columns that can divide the room when need be to create more private and intimate settings.
